The Spring Lake Five Mile Run - May 23, 2026
Thank you to all the runners and volunteers that helped make the 2026 Spring Lake 5 Mile Run & Kids Race a success! Congratulations to the 9,898 finishers who came out to run despite the weather forecast.
Registration for the 2027 Spring Lake 5 Mile Run & Kids Race will open on Super Bowl Sunday at 5:00am. Mark your calendar and set your alarm! The 2026 race sold out in 2.5 hrs.

In 1977, five hundred runners lined up for the first Spring Lake Five. Thanks to your help, the race has grown into one of the country’s biggest and best running events. Over the past 20+ years, Friends of the Spring Lake 5, Inc. has donated $4,140,302 to local charities, volunteer organizations, town initiatives and Spring Lake Recreation.
Winners of the 2026 event were Chris DeSousa in 24:15 and Liliah Gordon in 28:03.
First Spring Lake Residents: Bobby Tuzzio in 26:56 and Shana Fitzmaurice in 31:19.
